• "Projector-Student Volunteers" Program

 The idea behind the program is to use the intellectual potential and activity of students in equalizing educational opportunities for children and young people from small towns through the implementation, at leisure time, of educational projects in schools by groups of students-volunteers.

Groups of volunteers numbering from two to five people implement developing knowledge educational projects prepared by themselves, which develop skills and interests of children and adolescents.

Projects are conducted in leisure time during the school year, summer holidays and winter breaks. Projects relate to specific fields of science, subject or selected area of activity: they may be, for example art classes, sport, computer, theater, linguistics, etc.

 The program promotes active attitudes among pupils and students, forming a sense of social responsibility and solidarity, allowing them to simultaneously realize their  passion and interest in the attractive formula.

The program has been implemented since 2004. Nowadays in several hundred schools in Poland several thousand projects involving thousands of pupils are carried out.

Perhaps in your hometown or neighborhood there is a Local Grant Organization which implements the project within the confines of The "Act Locally" Program or the Library, which was covered by the "Program for the Development of Libraries".

  • The "Act Locally" Program

The program, through local grant competitions, organized by a network of Local Grant Organizations, supports various projects that contribute to social activation and solves problems in small towns. By means a competition  also non-governmental organizations interested in running local grant competitions in their local communities are identified.

• "The Library Development Program"

The main objective of the program is to help libraries in rural areas and small towns in transforming into modern, multi-information, cultural and educational centers, enlivening  civil activity. In particular, it is about allowing various social groups to meet their needs and aspirations through the promotion of modern tools of knowledge and information. An important part of the Library Development Program will be strengthening the competence and prestige of professional librarians, including through extensive training. Thanks to the support given to  nearly 3,350 libraries from  more than a thousand communities, tens of thousands citizens of villages and small towns will be granted the  access to modern information and communication technologies, and thus will have a chance to improve their quality of life.
